Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and 3/4 cup sugar.
  2. Add egg and beat well.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
  4. Add the sifted dry ingredients to the butter mixture.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for one hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  7. On a small plate, mix together 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon.
  8. Roll dough into balls about the size of a walnut.
  9. Roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar.
  10. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, leaving room between each ball.
  11. Bake 10 minutes or until edges are light brown.
