Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cup sifted flour
  • 2 tsp sugar

Directions:

  1. Mix shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs and blend well.
  2. Add flour, cream of tartar and baking soda then chill dough.
  3. Mix cinnamon and 2 T sugar in a plastic resealable container.
  4. Roll into balls the size of a walnut and place in container.
  5. Replace lid and shake to coat balls in sugar & cinnamon.
  6. Remove from container and shake off excess and place 2 inches apart on un-greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 325 for 15 minutes.
