Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Mix shortening, butter, sugar, and eggs.
  2. Add flour, cream of tartar, vanilla, soda, and salt.
  3. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in mixture of 2 tbsp sugar and tbsp cinnamon.
  4. Place on baking sheet and bake at 400°F for 8-10 minutes.
