Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 tbsp butter (optional)
  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely diced celery
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste, i start with 1/2 tsp)
  • 1 cup water

Directions:

  1. Brown the beef and break it up well with a fork. drain if necessary.
  2. Add the onion, celery, and pepper. Cook till softened.
  3. Add seasonings and water, cover and simmer about 20 minutes(add more water if it gets to dry), or until desired consistency.
  4. Adjust seasonings and serve.
