Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Drain the pickles, and slice into 1 inch chunks. (Save the jar!) Put in large glass or ceramic mixing bowl along with the sliced garlic. In a saucepan, mix vinegar, sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Bring to boil then lower heat to simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Pour over pickles and cover bowl with large dishtowel or plate. Let sit for several hours, stirring occasionally. Ladle everything back into the pickle jar, tighten lid, and store in the refrigerator. They will be ready to enjoy in 4 or 5 days, if you can wait that long.
