Simple Stuffed Acorn Squash

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Place squash halves cut side down in shallow baking pan.
  2. Cover bottom with water.
  3. Bake at 400 degrees for 60 minutes until tender.
  4. Turn squash over.
  5. Fill each cavity with applesauce and sugar.
  6. Sprinkle with a scant amount of salt.
  7. Dot with butter.
  8. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon.
  9. Continue to bake until applesauce is bubbly.
  10. About another 10 minutes
  11. Even kids who dislike squash will like this dish.
