Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cut of roots and stems from turnips
  2. Peel turnips and cut up or cube
  3. Place in pot, cover partially with water and bring to a boil and cover and cook until tender.
  4. Drain turnips very well
  5. Then mash by hand and season to taste.
  6. I used about 2 Tbs butter and 2 Tbs sour cream, salt and pepper and fresh nutmeg.
  7. I like the recipe when one can still taste the spiciness of the turnips, temepered by a little butter and nutmeg.!
