Simple Fried Squash Blossoms

Ingredients:

  • 12 freshly picked male squash blossoms
  • flour for dredging
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp e.v.o.o. and 2 tbsp butter, melted in a 10 to 12 skillet over medium heat

Directions:

  1. Rinse blossoms and blot dry on paper towels
  2. Dip each blossom in egg, then in flour
  3. Place each blossom in butter/oil mixture over medium heat
  4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper
  5. Fry until golden, turning once
