Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Put raisins and water in small saucepan and boil for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda; set aside to cool.
  3. Cream together butter, brown sugar and eggs.
  4. Add vanilla and mix well.
  5. Add flour, salt, baking powder and spices; mix well.
  6. Add raisins and water and stir to mix.
  7. Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Cool on racks.
