Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla, mix well.
  4. Add flour and baking powder and mix until well combined.
  5. Pinch off 1 inch balls and roll lightly by hand into 6 inch lengths.
  6. Fold ropes in half, then twist (optional, I like sticks instead).
  7. Place on silpat lined pan.
  8. Topping:.
  9. Beat egg and milk.
  10. Brush cookies with mixture.
  11. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  12. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
