Sausage & Cheese Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a greased 9 X 13 inch casserole, place the croutons.
  2. Sprinkle the onion flakes over the croutons.
  3. Place the pieces of sausage on top of the croutons.
  4. Sprinkle 2 cups of the shredded cheese on top of the sausage.
  5. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the 2 and 1/2 cups of milk.
  6. Pour over the casserole.
  7. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  8. Before baking, combine the soup and 1/4 cup of milk.
  9. Spread over the casserole.
  10. Sprinkle on the remaining 2 cups of cheese.
  11. Bake in a preheated 300 degree oven for 90 minutes or until browned and bubbly.
  12. Remove from oven and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
  13. I have substituted different flavors of creamed soups.
  14. You can also substitute part or all of the sausage with cubed ham.
  15. Also very good!
