Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Brown sausage and drain, set aside.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt; cut in butter until it resembles coarse meal.
  3. Stir in sausage.
  4. Dissolved yeast in warm water in another bowl, let stand five minutes.
  5. Add buttermilk.
  6. Stir into dry ingredients just to moisten.
  7. On lightly floured surface knead dough six times.
  8. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick.
  9. Cut with a two-inch circular cutter.
  10. Place on lightly greased baking sheet, brush tops with melted butter.
  11. Bake at 450º for 10-12 minutes or golden brown.
  12. Serve warm.
