Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450. While oven is heating place 2 Tablespoons of oil in iron skillet and heat until almost frying hot.
  2. Mix corn meal, egg, and enough buttermilk until mixture is creamy,
  3. When oil is hot pour oil into meal mixture and return to skillet.
  4. Bake in hot oven until golden brown.
  5. Cook time will vary with ovens.
