Quicky Sticky Buns From The 1960s

Ingredients:

  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • topping
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp water

Directions:

  1. -Dough-
  2. In a large mixer bowl measure 1 1/2 cups of the flour, add the yeast, blend.
  3. In a saucepan mix milk, water, butter, sugar and salt.
  4. Heat until warm (120f - 130f) stirring constantly.
  5. Pour into flour mixture.
  6. Add eggs.
  7. Beatt 1/2 a minute at low speed, scraping bowl constantly.
  8. Beat 3 miiutes at high speed.
  9. By hand gradually add remaining flour, scrape down batter from sides of bowl.
  10. Cover, let rise in warm place until doubled, about 30 minutes.
  11. While dough is rising, prepare topping.
  12. -Topping-
  13. Combine ingredients and cook until butter melts.
  14. -
  15. Drop topping by tablespoons into greased muffin tins.
  16. Drop batter on top of topping.
  17. Cover, let rise about 30 minutes.
  18. Bake at 375 F for 12 to 15 minutes.
  19. Cool 1 minute then invert pan.

  21. This makes 24 rolls and they are so gooie and sticky. We loved them....
