Ingredients:

  • (2 lb) pumpkin
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Preparation:
  2. Cut and take seeds out of pumpkin, then cut into large chunks and bake in the oven or cook in water, until fork tender and drain well and push through sieve or use ricer.
  3. In bowl put mashed pumpkin, flour, egg, salt and nutmeg.
  4. In large pot, boil water, add salt, drop spoonfuls of dough into water. Take them out of water as soon as they start to float.
  5. Serve with tomato sauce with basil and parmesan.
  6. Note: Add to your favorite tomato sauce.
  7. Steam right in your beef stew.
  8. Add to your favorite broth or meatball soup.
