Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 oz. package yeast
  • 1 cup butter or margerine
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • filling
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • mix cornstarch and sugar. add pineapple and water. cook till thick and clear. add egg yolk, stir. cool

Directions:

  1. Dissolve sugar, and yeast in milk (set aside)
  2. Sift, then measure flour, then cut in butter. Add yeast mixture to egg yolks, mix well.
  3. Add this to flour mixture and mix well.
  4. Divide dough into 2 parts, roll out to fit a 9X13 pan.
  5. Spread filling on dough, cover with remaining rolled dough.
  6. Let stand to rise until light, about 1 hour.
  7. Bake at 350* for about 45 minutes
  8. ***You could also drizzle this glaze over it if you want to dress it up some when it comes out of the oven.
  9. Glaze: 1 Cup of powdered sugar, 2 tsp. softened oleo a sprinkle of salt, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 1/2 Tablespoons of milk (heated slightly)
  10. It is a soft glaze I use on cinnamon rolls, once it sets you can touch it with your fingers and it won't come off but it stays soft never gets hard and crunchy.
