Ingredients:

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Boil water, butter and salt.
  2. Pour over flour.
  3. Mix when cool enough to handle.
  4. Add egg. Mix.
  5. Knead dough.
  6. Allow to rest 15 minutes covered.
  7. Roll out dough and cut out circles.
  8. Fill with desired filling (I like potato and onion).
  9. Boil in salted water. Pierogi is done when it floats to the top.
  10. Note: Serving size is approximate. I had to fill something in the field. The amount you get depends on the size you make them.
