Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. Grease rectangular baking pan.
  3. In large bowl with spoon or wire whisk stir together butter, sugar and vanilla.
  4. Add eggs then stir until well blended.
  5. Stir in flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt then blend well.
  6. Reserve 2 cups batter and set aside.
  7. Spread remaining batter in prepared pan.
  8. Arrange peppermint patties in single layer over batter 1/2 apart.
  9. Spread reserved 2 cups batter over patties.
  10. Bake 50 minutes then cool completely in pan on wire rack.
  11. Cut into squares.
