Pennsylvania Dutch Sandwiches

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz swiss cheese , juilienned
  • 8 oz boiled ham , juilienned
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp caraway seed (scant)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 12 slices rye bread

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine everything but the bread and the butter.
  2. Chill overnight.
  3. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  4. Top with cheese/ham mixture and another slice of buttered bread.
  5. Cut diagonally to serve.
