Ingredients:

  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 heaping cups pecans (i crush them with a rolling pin, but not finely crushed)

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Then add your salt, water and vanilla.
  3. Mix in your flour.
  4. Mix in your pecans.
  5. Chill dough for 1 hour.
  6. Shape your cookies the size of dates.
  7. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet (Air-Bake pan works great).
  8. Bake at 275 degrees for 50 minutes.
  9. Cool completely.
  10. Gently roll in powdered sugar.
  11. I usually store cookies in container and when I'm ready to give away or eat, then I roll in powdered sugar.
  12. How many depends on how big you make the cookie. I have a huge air-bake pan so I use only one rack in oven. It's best to use one rack when baking these so they bake evenly.
  13. Hope you enjoy these as much as my family and friends do.
