Ingredients:

  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup corn syrup

Directions:

  1. Need candy thermometer Butter two cookie sheets thoroughly
  2. Combine sugar, corn syrup and water in heavy pan on stove
  3. Cook to 236 degrees stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved
  4. Add raw peanuts and salt
  5. Cook to 295 degrees
  6. Remove from heat. Place thermometer into glass of hot water
  7. Add butter and soda. Stir well.
  8. Pour onto well buttered cookie sheets
  9. Spread and pull peanut butter as thin as possible with buttered fingers & utensils
