Pasta with havarti and basil

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat 3 tablespoons oil in skilled over medium high and add onion and garlic.
  2. Saute until onion is slightly browned.
  3. Mix in tomatoes, dried basil and crushed pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Break up tomatoes.
  6. Add broth and bring to a boil again.
  7. Reduce to simmer and cook until reduced to 6 cups, about one hour.
  8. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Preheat oven to 375.
  10. Cook pasta, per package directions and drain well.
  11. Toss pasta with 2 tablespoons olive oil.
  12. Pour sauce over and mix well.
  13. Stir in havarti and transfer to a 13 x 9 baking dish.
  14. Sprinkle with parmesan and bake 30 minutes.
  15. When done, sprinkle with fresh basil.
