Orange Butterscotch Cheesecake

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. ****CRUST****
  2. Combine oats, margarine, brown sugar and flour; press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F , for 15 minutes
  4. *****FILLING*****
  5. Combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, orange peel & vanilla.
  6. Mix at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended
  7. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  8. Pour over crust
  9. Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour and 5 minutes
  10. Loosen cake from rim of pan
  11. Cool before removing rim of pan
  12. CHILL
  13. *******TOPPING*******
  14. Combine brown sugar, corn syrup and margarine in saucepan.
  15. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  16. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla
  17. Chill until slightly thickened.
  18. Spoon over cheesecake
  19. Garnish with orange slice and a sprig of fresh mint, if desired
