Ingredients:

  • 1 2/3 cups sugar
  • 6 tsp double action baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil

Directions:

  1. Beat eggs in mixing bowl until thick. Add oil and beat for one minute.
  2. Combine flour, salt, sugar and baking powder; add to egg mixture.
  3. Add one cup orange.
  4. On low speed of mixer add milk slowly. Put mixer to medium speed and beat 2 minutes.
  5. Divide into 3 greased and floured one pound loaf pans and allow to stand 20 minutes before baking.
  6. Place in a 400* oven until loaves rise to the top of the pan and start to brown slightly, turn the oven to 300* and score tops once lengthwise with the point of a sharp knife.
  7. Bake about 20 minutes more or until tests done.
  8. Allow to stand in pan 10 minutes.
