Old-world Cucumber Salad

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Halve the cucumbers, scoop out the seeds, and thinly slice. Put into a deep sealable bowl.
  2. In a small sauce pan combine vinegar, sugar, water, onion, salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, stirring till sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour over cucumbers. Let cool.
  4. Stir in dill and parsely, seal, and refrigerate overnight.
  5. Note: I like to use sliced onion because it looks nicer with the cucumber halves, but some prefer it more finely chopped.
