Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp lemon extract
  • 3 medium eggs

Directions:

  1. Cream sugar and shortening then add eggs and flavoring.
  2. Stir in flour, salt and baking soda then chill dough and roll and cut with cookie cutters.
  3. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes then cool on wire racks.
