Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Cream the butter, then gradually add the sugar, beating until light.
  2. Add the egg, vanilla, and milk and beat thoroughly.
  3. Mix the flour, salt, and baking powder together, add to the first mixture and blend well.
  4. Arrange by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheets, 1 apart. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned on the edges.
  5. If you want to roll them out, add another 1/4 cup or so of flour.
