Old Fashioned Rice Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  2. Grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
  3. Beat eggs and add milk.
  4. Stir in sugar, uncooked rice, butter, vanilla essence, raisins and nutmeg.
  5. Pour into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake uncovered for 2 1/2 hours and make sure to stir frequently during the first hour.
  7. Serve warm/cold as per your choice.
