Ingredients:

  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cups bread, cubed
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Scald the milk and add sugar, butter and salt.
  2. Cool.
  3. Place bread cubes and raisins in greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla to the milk.
  5. Mix.
  6. Pour over bread.
  7. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
  9. Serve this with Christmas Pudding Sauce.
