Old Fashioned Blackberry Pie

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Wash the blackberries and place on paper towels to drain.
  3. Line the bottom of a pie pan with half of the pastry.
  4. Place the blackberries on top of the pastry.
  5. Sprinkle the sugar, cornstarch and lemon rind on top of the berries.
  6. Dot butter on top of the sugar, cornstarch and lemon rind.
  7. Cut the remaining pastry in strips.
  8. Place the strips in a lattice pattern on top of the pie.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-45 minutes or until the top of the pie is golden brown.
