No Knead French Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 5 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 6 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. In a large bowl mix hot water, sugar, oil, salt and 1/2 of the flour.
  3. Stir in yeast mixture.
  4. Gradually add remaining flour until it is all mixed in .
  5. Leave spoon in dough and let sit 10 minute.
  6. Stir vigorously.
  7. Let sit 10 more min, then stir again.
  8. Repeat until it has been stirred 5 times.
  9. Divide dough in 1/2.
  10. Roll each half into a rectangle about 9 by 12 inches.
  11. Roll up length wise and place seam down on a baking sheet.
  12. Optionally brush with egg white.
  13. Let rise 30 minute.
  14. Bake at 400 for 25- 35 minute.
