Homemade Crescent Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 -4 1/2 cups flour

Directions:

  1. In small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar together.
  3. Add eggs, salt and yeast mixture.
  4. Mix in enough flour for dough to leave sides of bowl and is soft.
  5. Do not knead this.
  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  7. Punch dough down.
  8. Turn onto floured surface; divide in half.
  9. Roll each half into a 12-inch circle and cut into 12 wedges.
  10. Roll up from wide sides and place on greased baking sheets with pointed sides down.
  11. Curve to form crescents.
  12. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 1/2 hours.
  13. Bake at 350F for 20 minutes or until golden.
  14. Time doesn't include overnight time.
