Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Soak beans overnight in water. Drain and rinse the next morning.
  2. Peel potatoes and cut into 2 inch cubes.
  3. Place beans and bacon pieces in a large pot with enough water to cover them. Bring to a boil. Turn down to simmer. Don't let the beans run dry.
  4. Add onion, tomatoes (cut up) and garlic. Simmer until beans are tender.
  5. Add potatoes and cook until they are fork tender.
  6. Ladle into bowls with piece of bread or crackers on the side.
