My Favorite Applesauce

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Peel, core, and slice the apples. You may want to taste a piece in order to adjust the later addition of sugar accordingly.
  2. Place apples, cider, and cinnamon in a saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low, and cook with cover on for about 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, add sugar, and stir until sugar dissolves.
  5. Optional: Before plating, you may want to use a stick blender to puree the cooked apples into a smoother sauce. Take care not to burn yourself when doing this.
