Mother Makins Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 small pumpkin
  • 1 cup rich milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp clove
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger

Directions:

  1. Cook and run through sieve the pumpkin
  2. Retain 1 cup for recipe
  3. Sift salt and spices with sugar.
  4. Melt butter.
  5. Add beaten egg with pumpkin and milk and butter
  6. Mix all together
  7. Pour into pie shell
  8. Bake bake in fairly hot oven (425) 40 minutes.
