Ingredients:

  • 6 cups flour
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups butter or 1 1/2 cups margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

Directions:

  1. Sift dry ingredients together.
  2. Blend in butter or margarine with a pastry cutter until mixture resemble fine meal.
  3. Stir in eggs and milk.
  4. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead once.
  5. Pat into 3/4-inch and cut into desired shapes.
  6. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes (time may need to be adjusted depending on how large you cut your biscuits).
