Ingredients:

  • 1 (1 1/4 oz) packet onion soup mix
  • 1 cup flour
  • 6 cups water
  • salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Seperate the dehydrated onions from the soup mix.
  2. Add dehydrated onions to ground beef in a mixing bowl.
  3. Shape into oblong pattys.
  4. Mix salt and pepper to flour dregdge pattys in flour to coat.
  5. Fry till lightly browned on each side.
  6. Remove and put on paper towel to drain.
  7. Add about three tbs of dredge mixture to patty drippings to form a roux.
  8. Mix the soup mix with the six cup water and add water a cup at a time.
  9. Place pattys in a baking dish.
  10. Pour gravy over top and bake at 325 for 2 hours.
  11. Best served with mashed taters.
