Mint Syrup for Tea

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves , packed

Directions:

  1. In small saucepan, combine sugar and water.
  2. Over medium-low heat, bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. While syrup is heating, rinse mint leaves under water to eliminate dirt.
  4. Once sugar has dissolved, remove from heat and add mint leaves, making sure they are submerged.
  5. Cool 1 hour.
  6. Strain.
  7. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate; will keep for 3-4 weeks.
