Miniature Pecan Tassies

Ingredients:

  • crust
  • 1 (3 oz. package. cream cheese
  • 1 cup. sifted all purpose flour
  • 1 stick butter
  • filling
  • 3/4 cup. brown sugar , firmly packed
  • 1 tbsp. soft butter
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • 2/3 cup. chopped pecans
  • optional: 3 squares baker's semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted

Directions:

  1. For the crust, have all ingredients at room temperature.
  2. Mix together and chill for at least 2 hours.
  3. Pinch off dough and shape into two dozen 1 inch balls.
  4. Place balls in 1 3/4 inch ungreased muffin tins.
  5. With thumb, press dough against bottom and sides of tins.
  6. Set aside and mix filling.
  7. Pre heat overn at 325 degrees
  8. For filling, mix all ingredients together.
  9. Fill each tassie 3/4 full.
  10. Bake for 25 minutes.
  11. Cool on cake rack.
  12. To remove, run sharp knife around edge and lift out.
  13. Drizzle with Melted Chocolate
