Million Dollar Pound Cake

Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 10 inch tube pan
  • 3 cups sugar

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F
  2. Beat butter at medium speed w/electric mixer until creamy(5-7 mins)
  3. Gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed until light & fluffy
  4. Butter will turn to a fluffy white.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, beating until yellow yolk disappears.
  6. Add flour to creamed mixture alternately with whipping cream.
  7. Start with flour and ending with flour
  8. Beat at low speed until blended after each addition
  9. Batter should be smooth, no lumps
  10. Stir in vanilla & almond extracts with a spatula
  11. Use vegetable shortening or butter to grease pan well
  12. Sprinkle with a light coating of flour over greased surface
  13. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 40 minutes
  14. Cool on rack for about 15 minutes.
  15. Remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack
