Maple Spiced Nuts from King Arthur Flour

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb nuts
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper , less if you don'tsp like it to spicy
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup

Directions:

  1. In large skillet over medium high heat, melt butter and add nuts.
  2. Cook, stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes, until nuts are fragrant and beginning to toast.
  3. Add remaining ingredients, stirring until sugar begins to melt.
  4. Lower heat to medium and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until nuts are nicely caramelized around the outside.
  5. Transfer nuts to a parchment lined baking sheet to cool, stirring periodically so they don't clump.
