Ingredients:

  • 8 oz macaroni
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 2 cups milk

Directions:

  1. Cook macaroni in salted water until tender then drain and rinse.
  2. Combine butter, flour, salt, pepper, and milk in medium saucepan.
  3. Cook until thickened (stirring constantly).
  4. Add cheese (slice by slice) and continue to cook until all cheese is melted and sauce is starting to thicken.
  5. Pour cheese mixture over noodles and serve. (mixture will continue to thicken if let to stand).
