Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 1 gallon figs
  • 4 cup sugar

Directions:

  1. CUT stems and wash in cold water. Soak in hot water with 1/2 cup of baking soda for about 15 minutes. Rinse.
  2. MEASURE 2 heaping cups of figs to 1 cup of sugar into a dutch oven. Cook 45 minutes with lid on. Remove lid and cook down about 1 hour.
