Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup lentils (precook these in 1 1/2 cup.water for 20min.)
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. In dutch oven cook onions in the oil till soft.
  2. Add cooked undrained lentils ,rice, salt and pepper.
  3. Add chicken cube and stir.
  4. Simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
