Ingredients:

  • 25 g butter or 25 g margarine
  • 2 liters ham stock (you can use cubes)
  • 300 g lentils (red , don'tsp soak them a wash will do)
  • salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Melt your butter in a heavy soup pot.
  2. Add your choped onion, and soften in the butter,then add your flour and cook out the rawness for a few minutes.
  3. Add your stock and stir well.
  4. Then add your lentils and stir well again.
  5. At this point add your salt and pepper, but taste as some tastes vary.
  6. Bring to the boil and turn down to a simmer.
  7. Stir frequently so it won't catch on the bottom.
