Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/2 tsp lemon extract
  • 3 tbsp hot water

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Drizzle over the top of baked goods.
  2. Variation: use 1/2 t cinnamon in place of lemon peel and extract.
  3. Variation: use 1/4 t nutmeg in place of lemon peel and extract.
  4. Variation: use 1/8 t allspice in place of lemon peel and extract.
  5. Variation: Use 1/2 t orange zest and 1/4 t orange extract in place of lemon.
