Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
  2. Cream butter and 1 cup of sugar; add dry ingredients.
  3. Stir in eggs and milk.
  4. Stir in lemon zest and nuts.
  5. Place in greased bread pan; bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes.
  6. Mix lemon juice and remaining sugar together.
  7. Pour over hot muffins.
