Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • cornstarch to thicken as needed
  • topping
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla or almond
  • 1/2 stick buttter or margaine melted
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

Directions:

  1. For fruit filling, combine all in sauce pan and stir well.
  2. Then cook until it comes to a boil and thickened over medium heat
  3. Place filling in 8 x 11 or similar pan
  4. Mix topping ingrdients together and pour over filling.
  5. Sprinkle with some sugar and cinnamon
  6. Bake in a 300F oven about 45 minutes or browned
