Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 f.
  2. Using an electric mixer beat together eggs and sugar.
  3. With the mixer running add oil.
  4. Then add orange juice, zest and vanilla.
  5. In a separate bowl combine baking powder, baking soda and flour.
  6. Start adding flour mixture to wet ingredients 1 cup at a time.
  7. Mix by hand.
  8. Continue adding the flour mixture until a soft (not sticky) dough is form.
  9. Knead.
  10. On a floured surface, take walnut-sized pieces of dough and roll into 8 strands.
  11. Fold strand and then twist.
  12. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
  13. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  14. Bake for approximately 20 minutes.
