Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 eggs , unbeaten
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 8 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. CAKE: Sift all dry ingredients and cut in shortening with 2 knives. Add eggs and milk, stir until smooth. Spread in 2 9x1 1/2 inch layer cakepans; greased.
  2. TOPPING: Mix all ingredients and blend with a fork. Spread over batter in pans. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.
